Best Stones for Chrome Oxide

Chrome Oxide is specifically recommended for polishing:

  • Jade (Nephrite & Jadeite)
  • Garnet
  • Rhodonite
  • Lapis Lazuli

These stones often develop a deeper, richer shine with Chrome Oxide than with more general-purpose compounds such as cerium oxide. The polish enhances natural color saturation while minimizing microscopic surface scratches left after fine sanding.

Good tumbler for the price

The tumbler was a little slow being delivered, but after my first full polish cycle, I'm pretty pleased with the results. Some rocks didn't finish the way I'd hoped, but it is more likely that inconsistent rock shapes and cavities.
